WHAT’S OPEN NOW.
April 8, 2021 Update
Every day, we learn of yet another destination that is opening its borders to travelers — whether that be an international expedition or a close-to-home experience. As the world opens another massive door, we want to be there to walk with you into a new era of global travel. That’s why each week we’ll share fresh insight on “what’s open now” and recommend travel opportunities for you to experience.
With hope for a healthy world on the horizon, my team and I are excited to be at the helm of this voyage as we enter a new wave of luxury travel.
Get ready, because we’re going places.
Domestic Travel is Open
The CDC announced that domestic travel is open to vaccinated travelers without having to provide negative test results or quarantining. The decision came after heads of major U.S. airlines met with White House officials to restore air travel and help open borders. All travelers, however, must wear masks on all forms of public transportation. Your best bet? Wide-open spaces like Montana where we’re heading this summer for an unparalleled journey of local culture and outdoor activities.
International Travel Follows
Nearly 70 countries are open to date — with a commitment from air carriers and cruise lines to take you there. Stacking hands-on safety are Delta, American Airlines, and Italy, who have implemented “Covid-Tested Flights,” in which all passengers must provide a negative COVID-19 test result prior to boarding. This guideline eliminates the need to quarantine upon arrival in Italy, so that travelers can say “Buongiorno” much faster. Discover our Silversea cruise from Rome to Venice, October 7 through October 14.
Masts Up for Cruise Lines
Norwegian, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania submitted plans on Monday to set sail in July. Their initiative proposes that all vaccinated travelers can disembark in designated international ports at a reduced 60% capacity, set to increase by 20% per month. Joining the fleet are lines including Viking who will weigh anchor from Iceland and Seabourn who will tour the Greek Islands. Join our own Grecian Getaway aboard Silversea’s luxurious Silver Moon on October 7–14.

The question is…
where do you want to go?
1. Alaska Awakens.
You’ll certainly get your six-feet apart fix during our upcoming trip to Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. Considered Alaska’s playground, Kenai Peninsula is where adventure travelers go to fish, kayak, hike, cruise, and view wildlife. The good news is that Alaska is open. . . wide open, as travel mandates and orders are now advisories encouraged by the Alaska Travel Industry Association. What does this mean for you? Pack your bags, because we’re going to some seriously wide-open spaces. Learn more about our upcoming Alaska experience.
2. Set Sail.
It’s all aboard a fleet of cruise lines including Crystal, Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean that are launching from ports just outside our borders, such as The Bahamas and St. Maarten. Celebrity will base it’s newest ship, “Apex” in Athens and offer Greek-island cruises starting June 19. All three cruise lines are requiring passengers to be vaccinated, and to present negative COVID tests. River cruises in the U.S. are riding in their wake by embarking on voyages. Among those is the Silversea luxurious Silver Moon, transporting you to the three Mediterranean countries of Italy, Greece, and Croatia.
3. Intriguing Iceland.
Trust us, we’ve jumped on this one faster than you can spell Reykjavik. My team and I have created a unique trip to this nordic nirvana for six days, five nights. Starting May 1st, travelers can revel in Iceland’s riches and cinematic landscapes with proof of certified vaccine. We’re ready to take you there, one cascading waterfall, glacier lagoon, bubbling geyser, and moss-covered lava field at a time.
4. Grecian Getaway.
Pack your bags, because we’re going to Greece October 7–14. The timing is impeccable. The Greek Tourism Minister, Harry Theocharis recently announced the country’s plan to bring tourists back to Greece by May 14. Protocols are in place and borders will open for healthy travelers, clearing the roadmap to recovery for sun-starved holiday makers eager to visit Greece.
5.Magnificent Montana.
While it’s no secret that America’s national parks have opened their gates, many of these outdoor treasures are taking careful precautions when it comes to welcoming the masses. That’s why we're offering ‘Maginificent Montana’ a 6-Day/5-Night culture-and-walking experience that gives an inside look at one of America's most beautiful parks. In our customized itinerary, we’ve followed road closures, visitor quotas, weather patterns, and health protocols so that you can experience this UNESCO World Heritage site in its full glory.
6. Quaint Coastal Towns.
Salt-tinged lighthouses serve as a beacon of promise on this New England and Atlantic Province voyage, illuminating what is yet to come in the way of fishing villages, crescent bays, gothic ruins, clam shacks, and every coastal-island dream in between. From the verve of New York and Newport’s yacht-filled harbor, to Portland's Old Port waterfront and the windswept summit of Cadillac Mountain, get ready to inhale sailing perfection close to home, one quaint coastal town at a time.

We're on the brink of exploring
more of the world.
Cyprus Calls
Cyprus is stacking hands with its neighbor Greece by also opening its borders to vaccinated tourists in May. And starting July 10, Royal Caribbean will sail both Greece and Cyprus with “Jewel of the Seas” during its debut back in the water.
My My Morocco
Awaken your senses among the markets, gardens, palaces, and mosques in magical Morocco, now open to American travelers.
Pilgriming Poland
Get that Covid-test 48 hours before arrival and you’re good to go in Poland. The 10-day quarantine is lifted for anyone who has been fully vaccinated.
Roaming Romania
Hop on a horse-drawn cart and experience rural living filled with 12th-century buildings and Gothic castles in this European country that is now welcoming vaccinated travelers.
