October 7th — Rome, Italy. History awaits with awe-inspiring tales of the past that meld into romance, culture, and cuisine — all capped with afternoon espressos and Sangiovese under the moonlight. Take a journey through the Roman ages and push pause on life with local traditions you can taste, right down to homemade pasta and hand-churned gelato.
October 8th & 9th — Sorrento, Italy. At this jumping-off point, embrace the sun-faded facades of colorful Sorrento during two days in this Italian enclave framed by chiseled cliffs overlooking sweeping views of the Bay of Naples. This little town with a big heart will win you over with its 14th-century cathedral, bustling marina, and cobblestone alleys that spill onto Piazza Tasso. It’s in this main square where you can admire the Baroque architecture, peruse fashion boutiques, and people-watch in a world of Vespas and passionate locals.
October 10th — Sicily, Italy. Inhale perfection on day four in Sicily with its artistic masterpieces, active volcanoes, snow-capped mountains, turquoise waters, and sprawling vineyards. This rich island is where art and culture intertwine with Greek theaters, noble palaces, archaeological sites, and Cathedral churches. Once you’ve had your fill of historic masterpieces, relax on the dreamy beaches and explore the coves that beckon weary travelers from afar.
October 11th — Corfu, Greece. Cruise to the sickle-shaped island of Corfu flaunting its sun-kissed Grecian sophistication with Byzantine churches, Venetian fortresses, and Greek temples. From legends of the past to marvels of today, soak in the sublimity of pristine beaches, flower-strewn hillsides, and whitewashed villas. If the cosmopolitan charm of this romantic island doesn’t win you over, the quaint seaside villages, tiny verdant islets, and wild natural landscapes certainly will.
October 12th — Dubrovnik, Croatia. Immerse yourself in the tranquil waters of the Adriatic Sea en route to Dubrovnik. The city’s authentic medieval flavor, with cobblestone streets and daunting fortresses, will take you through a mosaic of architectural splendor, baroque churches, and tiered fountains. A highlight of this ancient city is taking a leisurely stroll along the stone walls that frame the sea. En route, be sure to make pit stops at the famed fortresses and towers where Game of Thrones was filmed.
October 13th — Split, Croatia. From the sparkling turquoise gemstone of the Adriatic Sea, sail past the island-studded waters to Split. This Croatian setting may be spectacular, but it’s the Diocletian’s Palace that is truly a bewitching World Heritage Site. With a dramatic limestone backdrop, this vibrant metropolis gives a nod to the Roman Empire with ancient ruins dating back to the second century BC. Cradled between mountain and sea, a visit to this vibrant port city is not complete without a photo from Marjan hill overlooking the city. Reward yourself with an espresso from one of the main cafes lining Split's seaside promenade.
October 14th — Disembark Venice, Italy. Disembark in Venice, a labyrinth of waterways where gondolas meander past low bridges along tranquil canals, while gondoliers serenade lovers with eyes on romance. Take in sights of Renaissance and Gothic palaces and the Campanile bell tower offering panoramic views of the city’s red-tiled rooftops. In this vehicle-free city, explore the maze of culture and cuisine that spills onto Piazza San Marco, the central square where you’ll find St. Mark’s Basilica with its Byzantine mosaics.
